Mod Metal Doors was founded by Nathan Knapp in Austin, Texas. With over a decade of experience in the custom door industry, Nathan built the company around a single conviction: the luxury home market deserved steel doors and windows engineered to a higher standard.
We design every product to the exact specifications of your project. No catalog, no standard sizes, no shortcuts. Every door and window is custom-drawn, built to order, and delivered and installed by the same team that took your first call.
Today we work with custom home builders and homeowners across Central Texas, the Texas Hill Country, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston, and beyond.

We keep the team small by design. That means you have direct access to the people making decisions about your project, from first conversation to final installation.
Our process starts with a consultation, moves into design and engineering, and finishes with professional installation anywhere in Texas. Builders bring us in early because we hold a spec from permit set to punch list.
Most of our work comes through builder relationships built over years of consistent delivery.
