Mod Metal Doors
Builder Program

A steel door partner your schedule can count on.

We work as an extension of your team, one point of contact, in-house manufacturing, and an install crew that shows up when the schedule says so.

What it is.

What the Builder Program is

The Mod Metal Doors Builder Program is a trade partnership for custom home builders and architects across Texas: one point of contact, in-house steel door and window fabrication, and statewide installation on a schedule you can plan around. It is built around the two things that matter most on a luxury build: getting the details right, and protecting the schedule.

When you bring us onto a project, you get a single point of contact from first drawing to final walkthrough. We read your plans, take field measurements ourselves, produce CAD shop drawings for your sign-off, and fabricate every door and window in our own Texas shop, so the lead time we quote is a lead time we control. Our crew installs and tunes each unit, then returns for the first service.

Because we manufacture in-house and cover the whole state, we can hold a consistent standard across every home you build, whether it's in the Hill Country, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, or Houston. No middlemen, no imported lead times you can't influence, no finger-pointing when something needs to be made right.

The program scales with your pipeline. Whether you're placing one signature entry or glazing entire elevations across a slate of homes, the process is the same, designed to take work off your plate, not add to it.

Why builders choose us
01

One point of contact

From first call to final walkthrough, you work with one person who knows your project, not a rotating queue. Drawings, scheduling, and service all run through a single line.

02

In-house manufacturing, controlled lead times

Every door and window is fabricated in our own Texas shop. The lead time we quote is one we control, typically 4–6 weeks, depending on complexity, so you can build your schedule around it.

03

We measure, draw, and sign off

We take our own field measurements and produce CAD shop drawings for your approval before anything is cut. Fewer surprises in the opening, fewer callbacks at trim-out.

04

Statewide coverage, one standard

Hill Country, Austin, DFW, San Antonio, Houston: same shop, same crew, same standard on every home in your pipeline.

05

The full product line

Twelve door types and three window types, all in one consistent steel profile. Glaze a whole elevation: entry system, sliding wall, corner units, and matching windows, from a single partner.

06

Design-to-install, one team

The people who draw and weld your doors are the people who set and tune them on site. Accountability stays in one place from start to finish.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What lead time should builders plan for?

Fabrication typically runs 4–6 weeks, depending on complexity, after CAD shop drawings are signed off. Because Mod Metal Doors manufactures everything in its own Central Texas shop, that lead time is controlled in-house, with no import schedules, and installation is coordinated to your build calendar.

What areas of Texas does the Builder Program cover?

The whole state. Austin, the Hill Country, Dallas–Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston are all served by the same shop and the same crew, so the standard holds across every home in your pipeline.

Who installs the doors and windows?

Mod Metal Doors' own crew, the same team that draws and welds the units sets and tunes them on site, then returns for the first service. There are no third-party installers, so accountability stays in one place.

How does the CAD sign-off process work?

We read your plans, take our own field measurements, and produce CAD shop drawings for your approval before anything is cut. Fabrication starts only after sign-off, which is how we keep surprises out of the opening and callbacks out of trim-out.

Do you work with architects as well as builders?

Yes. Architects can bring us in during design to help detail steel openings, and we produce drawings that fold into their documentation. Many projects run three ways, architect, builder, and our team, with one point of contact on our side throughout.
